Nelson Bay RSL sub-Branch Claims and Pensions update from 25 November 2021.
Due to personal health and family concerns, our pensions claims and pensions advocacy volunteers have reluctantly decided to cut back on their involvement in these processes on behalf of our sub-Branch.
They intend to complete all existing advocacy work to the best of their ability but cannot accept any new claims and advocacy work.
They recommend that any veteran seeking claims and/or advocacy advice consider approaching any of the following organisations.
To the best of our knowledge all the organisations listed below do not charge for their advocacy work, nor do you have to be a member of their organisations prior to seeking their advice.

The process for lodging claims with DVA can be time consuming and stressful. It’s an important part of ensuring you’re set up for life after service.
Our claims and advocacy specialists are here to provide independent, professional advice and help you get the best possible result considering your circumstances.
We can also help you to appeal rejected claims. This includes advocating on your behalf at the Veterans’ Review Board.
